500 Posts and Counting

Writing_pad
Last week, I published my 500th post. I’m struck by how large this number sounds and by how the journey was not about overwhelm, but enjoying every moment. 500 times of sitting down at my laptop, writing about something that mattered to me.  500 times of feeling the satisfaction of articulating whatever is rolling around in my head and sharing it with others. 500 times of making meaning of what I’m noticing or experiencing in life.

Thanks to many of you who have been reading this blog since I started in 2005. Thanks to many of you who joined me along the way.

Here are some of my favorite posts:

  • Advice From Coolest Women We Know. This is one of my favorite posts because of the conversation it started and the unexpected events that it sets in motion. Be sure to read the comments for this post.
  • We’re All Bozos on the Bus. If you are feeling envious of your friends or just a bit sorry for yourself, this post will make being human a little easier.
  • Great Work. This post is about the difference between good work and great work. It continues to guide me today, 18 months after it was written.
  • Biking in Boulder. I still get a thrill from reading this post.
  • Grace. This post reminds me that the greatest gift we can give to ourselves is to accept things as they are.

Whether you are a long-time reader or one that’s recently found this blog, I’d love to hear what your favorite posts are.

What made you cry? What made you laugh? What made you think differently?

For those of you in the U.S., Happy Thanksgiving. I’m thankful for the journey I’ve been on.
