Two new episodes of the Conscious Living, Conscious Leaving podcast, "Choosing the Bigger Story," and "Joy and the Greater Good," are now available. This brings the number of episodes available to eight, with another ten episodes in the pipeline.
For those of you who are new to the Conscious Living, Conscious Leaving project, you can see the history of this project with a previous posting titled, Sacred Work, and by clicking on the Sacred Work category of postings for this blog.
It’s been over two years since I started interviewing my friend, Ilene Kouzel, about what it was like to be dying of ALS–purposely living in this world and at the same time, getting ready to leave it. Ilene died in October 2006.
Since then, a lot has happened. I’ve taken a much smaller role in the post-production process of turning the interviews into episodes. All the episodes are now free, instead of some being paid. The team brought on board a marketing whiz. And Ilene’s husband, Nick King, is now leading the project, with an emphasis on launching a new, more interactive and comprehensive site, In Light of Dying. With this new site, the interviews are a jumping off point, for a deeper discussion with a community of kindred spirits. It’s the Web 2.0 version of the current blog (designed in 2006, before social networks had taken off.) I’ll keep you posted on when this site is live.
Lives go on, with a different focus, and growth in new areas. Technology evolves. Yet what Ilene and I talked about in over ten hours of interviews still remains relevant. Enjoy these two new episodes.
