Resources for the Times We Live In

Help is on the wayA friend asked me to spread the word about a coaching program done by someone he knows and trusts. I rarely endorse stuff other than books, and usually only after I've read the book. However, I know that in times like these, people are looking for resources that can help them with their particular situation–whether it's advice on where to park your money in a horrible market (my husband's expertise, not mine) or how to network to find that next job or gig (I do know something about that, since I've had to do it) or how to make do with less (hint: frequent thrift shops in affluent areas.)

Getting Through With Grace for the Still Employed is a three-month group coaching program starting in mid-March. The coach is Laura Neff, who I don't know, but looking at her website, she seems to have her act together. That's as much of an endorsement as I can give, not having seen her in action.

If you are looking for new places to network, consider your college alumni group. In the Denver area, the Ivy Plus group meets once a month in Boulder, Denver, Ft. Collins, and includes alums from the Ivy League schools as well as Stanford and Northwestern.

I'm working on a series of video clips on avoiding getting sucked into gloom and doom as well as moving forward in a recession. Stay tuned.

Carol, thanks so much for your rare endorsement! I’m VERY excited about offering this much-needed program, and would tend to agree with your assessment that I do, indeed, have my act together. 🙂 The program is actually six months long, offering continued support in this uncertain economic climate.

Today I’m posting info on my site about a free program preview call to take place on Friday, March 6. Follow the link in Carol’s post to learn more & register for the call.

Again, Carol, many thanks! Bill raves about you, and I’m always glad to meet another CTI coach. I look forward to staying in touch!

Laura, my pleasure. I hope that those who need it will take advantage of your program.

Feel free to check back on the blog from time to time (or better yet, subscribe vis RSS or email) as there may be stuff of use for your program participants. For example, In addition to the video clips I mention above, I’m working on a post about the upside to a recession.
