I’ve arranged for Marci Alboher, author of the book, One Person/Multiple Careers: A New Model for Work/Life Success, to speak on June 13, 7-9pm in Denver. In her book, Marci gives identity to a new kind of worker, “slashes,” individuals whose work spans more than one discipline or vocation (e.g., lawyer/chef, surgeon/playwright, mom/CEO)
Connecting with Marci should be a real treat. Marci recently announced an online column that she is writing for the New York Times, called Shifting Careers. We’ve only talked briefly over the phone (she’s in NYC) AND I feel like I could spend a whole afternoon with her and not be bored.
As part of the event, I’ll interview Marci about creating a career that is uniquely your own. There will also be time for exploring your identity as a “slash” and those of other attendees.
The event is sponsored by the Northwestern Club of Colorado and is open to the public. If you are in the Denver area, please do join us.
