Hey, if you aren’t on my distribution list for my ezine, sign up here. I just sent out the following to my distribution list:
Okay, everyone deserves 15 minutes of fame and I think now is my time. In the June 26 issue of U S News and World Report magazine, I’m quoted in an article called Anxiety Attack, starting on page 42. The subtitle is ‘The economy hums, but a wary middle classfeels the dual burdens of uncertainty and risk.’ I’m quoted in the last two paragraphs about ‘making my own luck’ and ‘creating my own destiny.’
There’s also a nice picture of me in the article, taken by a top-notch photographer who told great stories while he did a two-hour photo shoot in my backyard. His response, when I initially thought this was a 30-min appt, was ‘This is not point and click.’
You can find copies at the newsstands, starting today or tomorrow. There’s also an online version
but to be honest, to get the full effect, you need to see the print version. I’m looking into reprints if you’re not able to get a copy of the magazine.
I exchanged email with a friend, Deb Cooperman, where I told her I have a value called, "Look at what I did!" It’s why I’m loving every minute of the 15 minutes. Deb replied that she has a similar value, "i just want to be worshiped, is that so horrible?"
Everyone should love themselves a bit more, don’t you think?
