Another good post from Seth Godin on beliefs. Seth says:
People don’t believe what you tell them.
They rarely believe what you show them.
They often believe what their friends tell them.
They always believe what they tell themselves.
This, from the author of a book called, "All Marketers Are Liars." Seth points to the power of word of mouth and the strength of our own illusions. He’s right that we believe what we want to believe. So then the question becomes, how do you shift what you tell yourself or what others tell themselves? Self-discovery is so underrated.
