I blogged previously about attending a demo of Equine Assisted Learning–where horses are used as a way to mirror human behavior and dynamics in groups. Fascinating stuff. For those in the Denver area, now is your chance to experience the same thing, for a small fee.
Debbie Stjernholm of C-Horse Consulting is conducting a half-day workshop on Friday, February 29 for $25. No horseback riding involved, only a willingness to learn from others not of the human species. Here’s a short description:
Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) is an experiential learning tool where people learn from horses how to effectively communicate, build relationships and gain a new respect for others. EAL uses the interaction between horses and people participating in ground activities to demonstrate the power of non-verbal communication. Horses offer a “mirror” in which the human may reflect on his/her choices as observed through equine feedback.
