Looking for a Few Good Musicians

I play flute in a community band in the Boulder area that is needing a few more musicians to round out the ensemble.  The band is part of the Rocky Mountain Center for the Musical Arts. We rehearse on Thursday nights, 7-9 pm.

If you are interested in playing with a group of accomplished adult musicians who know how to have fun and not take themselves too seriously, please contact me.

We especially need clarinets, trumpets, percussionists, french horns. An oboe and bassoon player would also be terrific.  You may wonder what it is we do have in the ensemble–lots of trombones, flutes and saxophones. Not much concert band music written for that instrumentation.

I put this post under the category of Ideas for a Better Life. Playing in an ensemble as an adult has added another dimension to my life that I don’t get from anything else.  I hope that you’ll consider something similar if you’ve played an instrument or sung in a choir in the past.
