Hello, My Beautiful Heart
Today is Valentine’s Day, a day when we focus attention on those we love. I woke up this morning tuning into my heart and felt the love…for my heart.
Hello My Beautiful Heart,
Thank you for sweet sadness and weeping, while listening to a podcast about loss and grief during yesterday’s walk.
Thank you for the rush of joy upon getting a text from my son, happy for lemon bars and other homemade treats filled with love.
Thank you for the bundle of feelings brought to the surface in writing letters to my dad, who passed away as I was entering puberty. Anger and compassion, gratitude and guilt, resentment and love, confusion and forgiveness. Grace and sorrow.
You are the aliveness in living. Without you, I would be sleepwalking, devoid of the sweet sounds of birds in the morning and crickets at night.
You are the constant witnessing companion. Without you, I would feel alone, and buried underneath the weight of only my thoughts.
You are the barometer of a remarkable day, a challenging night, a touching moment. Without you, time would be my enemy.
Thank you for serving me. And it is you, who I serve.
On this day that celebrates love, I celebrate my tender heart.

So grateful for this truly inspiring poem, Carol!
Lovingly,

Thanks, Ron. While I did not intend to write poem, it came out that way this morning. It’s the mystery of following the thread… of my heart.
Having you in my life.❤️🥰
